Weather Resistance
Our pergolas, verandas, garden rooms and glass enclosures are designed and installed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines for Irish weather conditions and typical wind exposure.
These structures are weather resistant but are not classified as fully waterproof. Wind driven rain, splashback, condensation, moisture ingress and water penetration may occur, particularly during severe weather conditions, and shall not be considered a defect.
No outdoor structure can be guaranteed to remain completely watertight under all weather conditions. Water ingress caused by extreme weather, wind direction, ground levels, drainage issues, uneven surfaces, site conditions or other factors beyond our control is not covered under warranty.
Damage caused by storms, flooding, exceptional weather events, subsidence, ground movement or any circumstances outside of our reasonable control is excluded from warranty.
Any minor water ingress that does not affect the structural integrity of the product shall not be considered a manufacturing or installation defect.
Base Levels, Drainage & Water Ingress
A solid, stable and level base is required for the proper installation, drainage and performance of the structure.
Where a pergola, enclosure or garden room is installed on an existing patio, paving, decking, concrete base or any surface not constructed by Superior Pergola Ireland, we cannot guarantee a watertight seal between the structure and the ground.
If the existing base is uneven, sloped, damaged, has inadequate drainage, or falls outside the manufacturer's installation tolerances, water ingress may occur at ground level. Any water ingress resulting from uneven surfaces, sloping ground, settlement, drainage issues, existing paving, gaps, movement of the base, or other site conditions shall not be considered a defect and is not covered under warranty.
Additional sealing may reduce water ingress but cannot eliminate it where the base is uneven or outside the manufacturer's tolerances.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the installation area is suitable and level before installation. Where a customer chooses to proceed with installation on an uneven or sloping surface, they acknowledge and accept the risk of potential water ingress at ground level.
